How Do You Sound?
What’s the one thing you don’t like about your voice when you hear it on a recording?
That’s what you need to focus on when preparing for any pitch, presentation, or in this case in the photo, a TV interview.
Maybe from your boss, you have sign-off on the slides, or you have the OK on your script or interview questions, but now this last part comes down to you.
Whichever city or county I’m in, I always bring my audio equipment because it allows me to work with clients on recording, playing back and analysing their voices to drill down into the one (or several things) that might be affecting their delivery.
If you make recording your voice a habit before any high-stakes public speaking event, I can 100% guarantee that your delivery will improve.
Remember, how you sound on a recording is exactly how others hear you. So, taking time to build this into your rehearsal process will pay huge dividends.
If you want to find out more about my ‘Voice Intensive’ program, where I get to analyse your voice and provide detailed feedback, get in touch.
