Feedback On Non-Verbals

Is it possible to ask a colleague to observe you from outside the meeting room?

This is one thing I suggest with people who are concerned about their non-verbal habits – in particular, the unconscious things we do with our hands, feet and body.

πŸ€” Rocking back and forward
πŸ€” Overuse of gestures
πŸ€” Crossing one foot over the other
πŸ€” Moving around too much or too little

Having someone watch you impartially and preferably, without hearing the presentation, will help you to edit out some non-verbal β€˜ticks’ that might be impacting your overall delivery.

Better still, ask them to video you so you can watch, review and learn.
