What Is Gravitas?

Gravitas comes from the latin word “gravis” – meaning heaviness or weight. This is where the word ‘gravity’ comes from.

It’s been used in the world of business to describe a whole raft of qualities

For me, having spent the best part of thirty years working in all things voice, it comes down to two things:

PASSION for your subject matter, but delivering that subject matter with AUTHORITY.

And how do you do that?

1. Voice – By using a voice that is confident, energetic and authentic

2. Presence – By commanding the attention of a single listener or an entire room
