The Storytelling Connection

I’ve listened to many people pitch their company’s services and it’s always the people who weave in stories that make me sit up and listen.

Why? Because the telling of stories is a fundamental part of human connection.

Stories are in our DNA, they connect us to each other because we relate to them.

So, what better way to finish up my last day of communication skills workshops for 2024, than a double dip at Clyde & Co of my CPD accredited “Storytelling for Business” session.

An AM session in-person in Sydney, and a PM session online for the APAC team.

It’s always so great to hear the participant stories that come out of these sessions. Because they not only create an immediate connection with the speaker, but the message behind is what creates a shift in the listeners.

And they don’t have to be complex narratives. Simple stories, are highly effective too.

So, if you are pitching, in BD, or just trying to influence and engage a client, think about the human connection narrative rather than the information overload.

It really does work.
