Stepping Out Of My Comfort Zone

My comfort zone has always been the security of a soundproof audio booth.  It’s quiet, it’s dimly lit, it’s calming.

So, when Fifteen years ago, I was asked to do a public presentation on the importance of voice in the corporate world, I was quite frankly terrified.

Being asked to stand in front of a large audience to share my knowledge was way out of my comfort zone. After all, I had spent many years in the quiet space of my audio booth.

But a little voice said ‘do it’. And am I glad I did. Just saying ‘yes’ has turned my life upside down (in a good way).

And the people I’ve met along the way… amazing.

So, if you are offered an opportunity that pushes you out of your comfort zone, just say ‘yes’. You never know where it will take you.
