Charisma And Credibility
These two words are part of the many qualities needed for leadership.
And what’s so fascinating is that according to research, in terms of communication, the use of vocal variety can enhance these qualities.
The research found that people who used vocal variety saw their popularity increase (charisma) but also the listeners believed much more in what the speaker was saying (credibility).
This is important if your intention is to influence, to get a buy-in or to sell.
I share a lot of research in my workshops because they underpin the practical elements that form so much of the sessions.
So, understanding both the ’how’ and the ‘why’, helps make the learning stick.
Great to be back at Stephenson Harwood to explore themes of leadership, gravitas and influence.
