Another Shanghai Session
I’m not one of those trainers who talks loads during a session, I learned that years ago while studying about “TTT” (Teacher Talking Time).
I was instructed to explain, watch, and review. And I’ve stuck to that principle for years.
For my sort of workshops, It’s only by doing tasks that people learn what works and what doesn’t work.
So, I make it a point to move to the ‘doing’ part, as swiftly as possible. I think that’s why my communication skills training sessions are so noisy.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
And here in Shanghai, we are doing tasks in Putonghua, because I need to adapt for maximum learner impact, and to embed the learning.
After all, communication is universal, irrespective of language.
Thank you Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking Shanghai for the opportunity to work with such an enthusiastic group.
